Opportunities
RBCERTAA
The RBCERTAA is organized into five committees to achieve the goals
of the organization. Your fellow Alumni are always looking
for assistance with the operation with the organization. These
committees are:
- Communication
(Bob Applegate)
This committee is responsible for the Newsletter, website and
Hot Line. It is working to define the radio communication
needs of CERT during an emergency
- Funding
(Montgomery Ruth)
Responsible for raising funds for the organization.
- Public
Relations (Marcelle McCullough)
Provides official representation at city events, releases
articles for newspapers, etc.
- Community
Involvement (Sandy Marchese)
Relay for Life, Block Parties, Safety Fair and other events
- Equipment
(Mike Grady)
Disaster Trailer and Supplies
Board of
Directors: Nominations for the board are typically in
May and elections are in June. To be nominated one must be
a CERT graduate with current first aid and CPR certifications and
have attended at least two board meetings in the past 6 months.
OTHER
OPPORTUNITIES
During
the year other volunteer activities are listed in the calendar,
including support for the American Cancer Society and the Beach
Cities Health District.
