Meeting called to order by President Lisa  at 6:30 p.m. (11 board members present.)

 

Names of Board Members compiled by Secretary Margot.

 

Motion to approve minutes and for November, 2005 was first motioned by Bob Heil and seconded by

Gary Horn, with changes regarding the qualifications of the By-Laws pertaining to elections of board members.

NEW BUSINESS:  

 

President Lisa read a letter from Chief Robert Engler (Retired).

 

Per Lisa,  Class 31, currently has 10 students signed up for the first class to meet on February 2, 2006. Margot will bring dinner for students and any one who attends the class.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fire Dept. Corner: Per Capt. Martinez, the following Fire Department personnel will be involved with RBCERT:

 

Chief Dan Madrigal

Special Services Div. Chief Steve Hyink

Fire Marshall Carl Whittaker

Operations Chief Frank Mead

 

The call out program will be back. No further information provided.

 

The generators will be delivered sometime in January 2006. There needs to a list  of where the generators are located so that the equipment can be accounted for.

 

It should be noted that the generators are on a long term loan  to the RBCERTAA group.

 

Marcelle McCullough suggested that the generators be used as part of an exercise, so that we can all be trained in operating the equipment.

 

The Redondo Beach Public Safety Fair will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2006.

 

 

 Old Business:

 

Treasurer’s Report:

The November 2005 treasury report was approved.

 

Discussion ensued regarding possible debit/ATM card for RBCERTAA per Michael Vaccaro.

 

 

Website (Valerie):
Progress is on-going. Updated information will be provided monthly.   

As usual, Valerie is doing an excellent job updating the RBCERTAA web site.

 

Mike Grady, former RBCERTAA board member no longer wishes to have the RBCERTAA web site

Yahoo payment paid by him.

 

Calendar:

Alisa Zells will update any pending changes to the Calendar section.

 

Tonia is doing a great job of  doing the e mail correspondence.

 

Funding & Equipment:

 

Discussion on-going regarding Sponsor Recognition  Program per Bob Heil and Gary Horn.

 

 

 

 

Le Boutique CERT:

 

Per Jennifer Adam, a couple of polo shirts were sold at graduation on 10/29/05. Jennifer advised that she will provide a full accounting at the February 2006 RBCERTAA board meeting.

Per Capt. Rick Martinez, the April training drill will be on the topic of AED.

 

 

Next board meeting is on February 7th, 2006.
